ACTS: Assume its Loaded, Control the muzzle, Trigger finger away from the trigger and See that its unloaded
PROVE: Point it in a safe direction, Remove any ammo, Observe the chamber to see that its clear, Verify , stick your finger in and make sure and Examine the bore that it is clear. ( The last thing you want is when you do load it , that there is dirt or an obstruction in the barrel.)
